In 2022, while still in college, Ganesh Sathe took a leap of faith and started a small street-side dosa cart with Sapna.

Inspired by his mother, who is from Bangalore, Karnataka, and the traditional recipes she grew up with, they wanted to share the true flavours of her home with the world. Every day, Ganesh and Sapna prepared everything at home, carefully packed it, and carried it to their little cart before beginning their day.

There were no fancy kitchens or big investments — only homemade food, long hours, determination and a belief in doing things the right way.

That humble cart became the foundation of The Benne, built on a promise to preserve the flavours, warmth and traditions they grew up with.

What began with a mother's recipes and a simple dream became a journey of bringing the taste of home to every heart — one dosa at a time.
